In Acts 1:13 we learn that he was present with the 11 apostles in the upper room of Jerusalem after Christ had ascended to heaven. Some, such as the demon-possessed girl who pestered Paul and Silas (Acts 16:16-18), did have supernatural abilities, but it seems that this man had only tricks, deceptions, the slight of hand appearances of magical powers.

In Acts, the reception of the Holy Spirit (a “pentecost” by my definition, at least) happens to four groups. The energetic exchanges we have with others will be positive, joyful, invigorating, and empowering in nature.
